The pace of technological changes have increased over the last decade, but their political consequences are not much explored. A key objective of the TECHNO project is to examine how changes in technology in the workplace contribute to ongoing deep political transformations in democracies.
The project is organized into four parts that examine, among other things, how digitization affects workers' economic trajectory and political behavior, how technology impacts local political and electoral outcomes, and how technological change impacts various policies. In response to these changes, the research will lead to policy recommendations for workers and communities.
