SepaRope

During crises, public power often shifts to the executive in a controversial and rights-sensitive manner. As the first empirically-grounded and comparative project on the separation of powers in the 21st century in Europe, SepaRope is rethinking today’s conceptions and practices of the separation of powers.

The project consists of five working packages that show how recent economic and political developments affect the exercise of power within EU’s institutional framework and, importantly, what this means for  will-formation and control of the different actors.
